I’m going to interrupt regular food/fitness programming to talk about this weekend. Not only is it the Fourth of July weekend (which means we get to grill + drink by the pool with all of our friends!) but it’s also my first wedding anniversary! Adam and I got married nearly a year ago, on July 5, 2008. I can’t believe it’s been this long, yet the wedding seems so far away. It’s been a wonderful year and I am so excited to celebrate it with my hubby! He’s the best!!

We actually declared this our wedding anniversary weekend, which means we started celebrating as soon as I got off work yesterday, and plan on continuing it through Monday (July 5th is also my dad’s birthday so we’re going out to celebrate it on the 6th). So much fun!!

Anyways, I thought it would be fun to share our special day with you guys. I looked through some old pics to find a few I’d post here and my heart is still racing. Seriously – it was the best day of my life! I’m trying not to tear up right now… Here are some getting ready/reception decor pics. More to come tomorrow. Enjoy!

For our favors, we boxed up 2 sweet sloops for each guest (my sister did an amazing job with them!)

I’ve been in love with these bride and groom Swarovski bears since I saw them many years ago at the store. As soon as we got engaged I bought them and we decided to incorporate them as part of our table decor. They’re SO cute and just make me smile. They’re currently chilling on our tv stand

We froze the top of our cake, so I can’t wait to have some tomorrow!!!
